Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Test Lead to direct testing across multiple projects and champion automation initiatives. You will define testing strategies, oversee execution, mentor teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in test management, hands-on automation with Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, and solid API testing experience within Agile environments. On-site role with leadership across QA teams.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in test management, planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and release sign-off.
• Hands‑on expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, and integration testing methodologies.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and automated test suites.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#, along with SQL and database testing skills.
• Proven ability to lead functional, regression, integration, system testing, and UAT support activities in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated team leadership and stakeholder management skills, including mentoring QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities, including test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and release sign‑offs.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and test suites for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Drive test automation adoption to improve test coverage, efficiency, and overall software quality.
• Manage GitHub repositories and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Lead and mentor QA and Automation Engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, training, and resource planning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers to ensure quality objectives and project deliverables are met.
• Monitor testing metrics, perform root cause analysis, ensure compliance with QA standards, and drive continuous process improvements across testing and release cycles.
