Job summary

Dynapar Corporation seeks an Engineering Technician to support mechanical design, test-system development, and automation projects in the Test and Automation Engineering Department. You will work with the Senior Mechanical Engineer providing CAD, drafting, prototyping, assembly, testing, and documentation for test stands, fixtures, and automation equipment.

Shadow Manufacturing Engineers to learn processes, assist with equipment installation, data collection, and continuous-improvement

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering tech or similar.
• Experience in mechanical design support, test equipment, automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs; SolidWorks strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Mechanical Engineer with 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
• Develop or modify mechanical components such as brackets, guards, enclosures, fixtures and tooling.
• Take field measurements and translate into accurate models and design inputs.
• Support design reviews, tolerance evaluations, and design-for-assembly/maintenance.
