Job summary

Ralliant Corporation seeks an Engineering Technician to support mechanical design, test-system development, and automation projects in the Test and Automation Engineering Department.

You will provide CAD, drafting, prototyping, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation support for test stands, fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment, while shadowing Manufacturing Engineers to broaden manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design support, test equipment, automation, or tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, tolerances.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and drawing creation; SolidWorks preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with MS Office and ERP/document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Mechanical Engineer with 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Develop simple mechanical components, fixtures, and enclosures under direction.
• Take field measurements and convert to accurate models and inputs.
• Support design reviews, tolerances, and design-for-assembly/maintenance.
• Build prototypes, fixtures, test stands, and mechanical subassemblies.
• Perform testing, record results, and implement design revisions.
• Coordinate fabrication, procurement, and delivery of parts and equipment.
