Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quonset, RI, seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop high‑fidelity automated test procedures for components and systems. You’ll collaborate with engineers and electro‑mechanical technicians to advance testing capabilities and ensure quality as production scales.

You will build test capabilities across the value stream, design semi‑automated equipment, and perform root‑cause analysis while contributing to a fast-paced, defense‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in hardware testing and automated test systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Matlab, Shell, or similar languages.
• Experience with hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN).
• 3+ years in a relevant field, preferably test design for electro‑mechanical hardware in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with complex electromechanical systems and reliability focus.
• Experience developing full system test plans and executing under tight timelines.
• Experience testing sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
• Eligible for U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system-level checkouts to component validation.
• Develop, execute, and manage testing ecosystems to reduce risk and ensure reliability.
• Perform hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems.
• Design semi-automated testing equipment and protocols for subsystem characterization.
• Collaborate with design/systems teams to assess risks and own test deployment in production.
• Maintain testing logs and create a troubleshooting library with error codes and diagrams.
• Create reproducible test processes for MES or other test execution systems.
