Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions is seeking an engineer to design and develop Python-based testing infrastructure and automation suites for CQG products. You will investigate root causes, validate hypotheses, and implement scalable testing frameworks.

The role emphasizes performance testing, debugging, and collaboration across teams. A background in networks and Python development, with 2+ years in testing, is required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering required.
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience in Python and related frameworks.
• 2+ years of hands-on testing experience with backend or client/server applications.
• Strong Python skills including OOP, concurrency, debugging, and performance optimizations.
• Experience with testing frameworks (pytest/unittest) and network programming in Python (socket, asyncio).
• Knowledge of networks and network protocols; familiarity with C# is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based testing infrastructure, frameworks and tools.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable automated testing solutions, including performance testing.
• Improve reliability and performance of testing infrastructure.
• Review, refactor and improve existing Python codebase.
• Analyze performance test results and report defects in tests and product.
• Collaborate with teams to validate hypotheses and reproduce defects.
