Job summary

Infinitum, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test systems for electric motors and VFD control. The role emphasizes LabVIEW and TestStand-driven test automation, data acquisition, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience with LabVIEW and TestStand for test automation.
• Strong data acquisition and hardware/software integration skills.
• Experience with VFDs, motors, and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated test systems using LabVIEW and TestStand to evaluate electric motors, VFDs, and related components.
• Create and optimize test algorithms to measure torque, speed, efficiency, and thermal behavior.
• Develop custom test scripts and software interfaces for hardware control and data acquisition.
• Integrate sensors, data acquisition systems, and control hardware into automated test setups.
• Analyze test data and generate reports with insights into product performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to troubleshoot and improve test methodologies.
• Ensure test systems are scalable, reliable, and capable of handling various configurations.
• Maintain documentation of test procedures, designs, and results for compliance.
