Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to create and maintain automated tests ensuring performance, functionality, and system behavior. You will integrate tests into CI/CD and translate requirements into robust test scenarios.

Work with engineering teams to diagnose failures and improve overall quality, documenting procedures and results across test frameworks and defect reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience writing automated tests with Python, Java, or C.
• Strong testing methodologies: integration, functional, regression, and system.
• Experience embedding tests in CI/CD within Agile environments.
• Understanding SDLC and debugging complex software issues.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and update automated test scripts to verify software performance, functionality, and system behavior.
• Incorporate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous deployment.
• Convert requirements and ICDs into actionable automated test scenarios.
• Investigate and diagnose test failures to identify root causes in tests, apps, or integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve defects and improve software quality.
• Document test procedures, automation frameworks, results, and defect reports.
