Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking a seasoned network test engineer to design and execute thorough test plans for both software and hardware components. You will develop automated frameworks, perform regression testing, and conduct HIL/SIL testing to validate complex defense network systems.

The role emphasizes API integrations via RESTful, gRPC, and YANG, and requires strong packet analysis skills. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in Linux, Git, TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP, and traffic analysis tools, plus

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• 5+ years Linux OS experience and Git
• 5+ years TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP, and network segmentation
• 5+ years packet analysis (Wireshark/tcpdump)
• 5+ years scripting (Bash/PowerShell) and 3+ years Python
• 3+ years NFV concepts, and HIL/SIL testing experience
• 3+ years experience developing test plans, regression testing, and automated test frameworks
• Experience with API integration (RESTful, gRPC, YANG)

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans for network software and hardware components.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and perform regression testing.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
• Perform API testing and integration using RESTful APIs, gRPC, and YANG models.
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
