Job summary

Synechron is a global consulting firm seeking a QA Automation Test Architect to lead enterprise-grade test automation. The role focuses on defining automation strategies, building scalable frameworks, and integrating testing into CI/CD across web, API, mobile, and backend applications, based in Charlotte, NC.

The candidate will drive automation standards, mentor engineers, and partner with DevOps, PM, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.
  • Experience designing hybrid, data-driven, keyword-driven, and BDD automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in API automation using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
  • Experience with mobile automation using Appium.
  • QA/Test Automation experience with strong experience as an Automation Architect or Test Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Lead automation efforts for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
  • Drive shift-left testing practices and quality engineering initiatives.
  • Analyze test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to automation engineers.
  • Participate in solution architecture discussions and identify quality risks early in the SDL.

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Test Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade test automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining automation strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and driving quality engineering best practices across multiple applications and platforms.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
