Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Automation System Support professional to maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial environments. You will respond to malfunctions, perform tests, diagnose complex hardware issues, and implement TPM-aligned maintenance and upgrades.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience and an associates degree in automation tech, robotics, or related fields.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience
• Associates Degree in Automation technology, robotics, Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial settings
• Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and escalate issues to management and engineering teams
• Perform tests and analysis of complex hardware problems
• Perform automation system maintenance according to TPM documentation
• Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality as specified in TPM documentation
• Diagnose automation control systems using diagrams, schematics, manuals and other manufacturer documentation
• Install, configure and commission new robot systems and production equipment as needed
• Collect and record data for root cause analysis, corrective actions and maintenance scheduling
• Monitor processes for improvements and assist engineering with changes
• Coordinate with production, quality, engineering and management teams
• Follow training, procedures, and safety instructions to ensure safe operations
• Assist operators with machine configurations and fixture setups
• Occasionally work during holidays and weekends

Education
