Airgas, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician in Tucson, AZ to service plasma and cutting systems, operate and troubleshoot robots, and perform installations and maintenance. Candidates should have 3+ years in advanced automation or 2+ years mechanical repair with an apprenticeship. Knowledge of welding, cutting, fabrication, and electrical schematics is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in advanced automation service or 2+ years mechanical repair with apprenticeship
• Broad knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication processes
• Ability to read, write and interpret electrical schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform service on plasma, oxy/fuel cutting systems and robots
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot on-site and repair components
• Upgrade components while maintaining a safe work environment
• Calibrate and test machines to manufacturer specifications
• Document service activities promptly and accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas
• Attend two weeks of paid training per year
• Build strong customer relationships and report expenses timely
