Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Automation Sales Specialist in Tulsa, OK (retail shop) or Oklahoma City, with the ability to travel across the MidSouth region. The role focuses on evaluating customer applications, proposing retrofits and new equipment, and supporting Account Managers in selling robotic and automation solutions.

The position requires experience with robotic, shape cutting, and welding systems, as well as strong computer literacy and the ability to travel regularly.

Qualifications

• Experienced in the sale and maintenance of robotic systems, shape cutting systems, welding systems.
• One year certificate from college or technical school.
• Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel on a regular basis; some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer applications to determine the optimum product, services, retrofits, upgrades, or new controllers, software, and equipment to fulfill customer requirements.
• Prepare proposals and quotations for customers and assist Account Managers in selling.
• Conduct sales demonstrations and make sales calls to sell maintenance, retrofits, and new equipment.
• Teach operators on proper use of equipment and optimize processes.
• Coordinate with Sales Managers and other stakeholders to achieve sales goals.
