Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring an Automation Technician in Anaheim, CA to service plasma and cutting systems and robots. The role includes installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and part upgrades, with a focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of advanced automation service experience, or 2 years mechanical repair with Airgas Automation Technician Apprenticeship completion.
• Broad knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication processes common to Airgas customer base.
• Ability to read, write and interpret electrical schematics; knowledge of welding and power equipment from multiple suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Performs service on plasma, oxy/fuel cutting systems and robots.
• Installs, performs preventive maintenance, onsite troubleshooting and component repair.
• Performs component upgrades while ensuring a safe working environment.
• Completes service documentation timely and accurately.
• Maintains clean, organized, safe work area following health and safety guidelines.
• Attends two weeks of company-paid training per year.
