Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking an Automation Technician to develop, set up, and maintain automation, equipment, and systems for new projects and existing operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in automation, with PLC programming, vision systems, robotics, pneumatics, and electronics; able to read schematics and use precision tools; strong teamwork and English communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automation industry experience
• Experience with PLC programming, vision systems, robotics, pneumatics and electronics
• Ability to read technical electrical/pneumatic schematics and use precision measurement tools

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot EOATs and downstream automation work cells, vision systems, and related equipment
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing methods to reduce costs, improve yield, and safety
• Lead teams in major repairs and ensure proper documentation for traceability
• Assist with New Product Development and ensure successful launches
• Maintain housekeeping and safety, follow escalation procedures
