SMC Ltd. is seeking an Automation Technician I/II/III for Devens, MA to develop, set up, and maintain automation equipment and systems for new projects and existing operations.

The role includes troubleshooting EOAT cells, vision systems, robotics, and laser etching equipment, with a focus on cost reduction, yield improvement, and safety compliance. 12-hour rotating shifts on full-time schedule.

Competenze

• Experience with PLC programming, vision systems, robotics, pneumatics, and electronics.
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• English reading/writing and strong documentation skills.

Mansioni

• Troubleshoot EOATs and downstream automation work cells, vision systems, pad printers, laser etchers, and related equipment.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing methods to reduce costs, scrap and downtime.
• Lead in major repairs and perform assigned maintenance tasks.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust robotic programs.
• Support NPD and other groups for new product launches.
