Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking an Automation Technician to ensure effective equipment functioning in highly automated facilities, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs to production machinery.

Engineering degree with 2-5 years of experience required; able to read schematics and work varying shifts. Role offers growth toward a Controls Technician position and opportunities in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 2-5 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral & written).
• Flexibility to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as scheduled.
• Experience with electrical controls and PLCs preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and lead repairs.
• Support line startups and equipment changeovers.
• Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance on production machinery.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics to plan work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
