Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a self-motivated candidate to provide controls support to a highly automated and fast paced baking facility. The qualified candidate should have strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills with a strong background in industrial controls.

Experience with the latest Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs and HMIs/OITs, plus understanding of electrical controls, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, PCs, robotics, and control networks is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in industrial controls.
• Technical degree in a related field or AAM graduation.
• A combination of education, training and experience may substitute.
• Strong experience with Rockwell software packages; AutoCad and Office.
• Equipment knowledge may vary by location; safety and quality focus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; food industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise using Rockwell software and related tools.
• Review plant metrics and lead a team to engineer improvements.
• Provide second level maintenance support for controls.
• Support plant networks; liaise between plant, engineering and IT.
• Manage Rockwell software on department PCs and maintain backups.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to optimize controls.
• Ensure safety and food safety standards are upheld.
