CHEP in Livonia, MI seeks an Automation Technician II to perform hands-on maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-equipped equipment. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, document tasks in CMMS, and support reliability improvements on a first-shift schedule.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of industrial maintenance, strong PLC/electrical skills, and the ability to lift 75 lb. Travel up to 35% and willingness to work non-traditional hours are expected.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of industrial machine maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs and electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems.
• Document work orders in CMMS and ensure accurate records.
• Support reliability initiatives and root cause analysis.
• Train and mentor other technicians in equipment maintenance.
• Lead safety programs and risk assessments on tasks.
