Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Automation Technician I to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment at our Florida site. You will perform routine preventive maintenance on robotic arms, conveyors, and assembly machines, and assist in installing new automation lines.

The role requires basic PLC/HMI familiarity, the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to drive continuous improvements while following

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in automation, robotics, mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated systems, including robotic arms, conveyors, and assembly machines.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues in automation equipment.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new automation machinery and production lines.
• Conduct basic programming and adjustments to PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
