Job summary

Howmet Aerospace LaPorte facility is seeking an Automation Technician (Controls) to maintain and improve PLC, HMI, and robotic systems. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and performance of automated equipment in a modern investment casting setting.

You will work with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot and optimize processes, while expanding your skills with Rockwell Automation tools and related automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or related field required.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not available for this position.
• Export-controlled data access restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reliability of robotic/automated systems.
• Provide PLC, HMI, and robotic system support in the plants.
• Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting issues.
• Improve overall plant safety and equipment OEE.
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to plan activities.
