Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated mailing and distribution equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to maintain safety standards.
• Partner with engineers, vendors, and operations teams to resolve equipment concerns.
• Train operators on machine operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Assist with automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Automation Helpdesk requests and escalations.
• Prepare maintenance reports and participate in technical meetings.
• Update equipment manuals, maintenance records, and operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Automation Technician.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
