Havel in Marion, Indiana is seeking a Controls & Automation Technician to install hardware, design software, and document processes for Direct Digital Control systems in HVAC environments. You will work onsite with customers and subcontractors to ensure proper operation and safety.
The role requires a technical associate degree with 1–2 years of field experience (or 3 years in related HVAC). Proficiency with Word and Excel is expected, and Niagara AX certification is a plus.

Complete typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required
Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers and subcontractors
Responsible for graphics building
Check out of HVAC control systems and wiring
Complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required
Document processes for the Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems
Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full of assistance
Develop long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Attend job progress meetings as required
Adhere to safety standards
Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb ladders when needed
Other duties assigned
Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with 1-2 years of field experience or 3 years of equivalent related experience in the HVAC industry
Must have relevant technical hands on systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems
Strong customer and communication skills to a non-technical audience
Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Niagara AX certified preferred
Must work in a team environment
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
