Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an Automation Technician in Libertyville, IL to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated assembly and transfer systems. You will support PLCs, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical equipment, performing preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement in equipment performance and supporting integrated production equipment in a direct hire, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated assembly, transfer, or material handling systems.
• Strong hands-on electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Proven success supporting equipment in high-volume, high-speed production environments.
• Experience with inline, cam-driven, or mechanically timed automation systems.
• Exposure to Mikron G05 platforms or similar high-speed assembly equipment is highly preferred.
• Injection molding, integrated molding/automation cells, ASRS, AMRs, and warehouse automation experience are a plus.

What You'll Do
