Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician in Buffalo Grove, IL to lead a team of technicians and keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform advanced troubleshooting on PLC-controlled machinery, diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic issues, and drive reliability improvements across the line.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical skills, and experience with automated equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring and developing maintenance technicians.
• Injection molding and auxiliary equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and automated equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic system issues.
• Read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and repair strategies.

Now Hiring: Maintenance Lead Technician

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Pay Rate: $33.08 - $45.49/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree in a technical field, military technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Proven leadership experience mentoring and developing maintenance technicians

Job Duties:

• Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
