Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking an Automated Technical Service Representative for the Streetsboro Corporate Office. You will install, service, and troubleshoot automated packaging systems at customer sites, ensuring uptime and performance.

Your role includes customer training, upselling service agreements, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams, while upholding safety protocols and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or Associate's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or related field, with field experience.
• 3–4+ years in a similar technical role or equivalent.
• Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated packaging systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and PLC/control systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and integrate Sealed Air's automated packaging systems at customer locations.
• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions remotely or on-site to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and adjust machinery settings for quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customers on operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with leadership, sales, engineering, and support teams on improvements.
• Document service activities, schedules, repairs, and parts used.
• Identify opportunities for upselling service and maintenance agreements.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and act as primary technical contact.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols; travel regionally as needed.
• Schedule weekly activities and participate in training to stay current.
