Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain in Tolleson, AZ is seeking an Automation Technician II to install, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment, including robotics and PLCs, in a high‑uptime distribution environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, support up time of conveyors, and use CMMS to document work orders and history. Strong problem solving, ability to work independently, and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of industrial maintenance or automation experience.
• Perform intermediate PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
• Ability to work independently and maintain system uptime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues/equipment.
• Program and repair PLCs and robotics.
• Install, calibrate, and commission new automated equipment.
• Use CMMS to document work orders and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and OSHA standards.
• Participate in package-to-package changeovers.
