Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking an Automation Technician II for the night shift in Tolleson, AZ. You will independently install, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment including robotics, PLCs, and conveyors in a high‑uptime 3PL environment with strict SLAs.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic issues, programming PLCs, calibrating new equipment, and using CMMS/HMI to monitor and document work while adhering to safety standards such as

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required and 3+ years of industrial maintenance or automation experience.
Perform intermediate PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
Capable of working independently, though they may assist on complex projects.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues/equipment.
Troubleshoot, modify, and program PLCs and robotics, including repair to control arms.
Install, calibrate, and commission new automated equipment.
Utilize HMI to monitor system performance and resolve jams or faults before downtime.
Document parts usage and submit parts requests per min/max settings.
Perform scheduled and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance.
