Job summary

Amgen in North Carolina is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation to join the Facilities & Engineering Automation team. You will build and maintain automation systems to support the new drug substance plant, collaborating with capital projects to deliver robust process control.

The role requires DeltaV DCS experience, knowledge of validation in a GxP environment, and strong documentation, root-cause analysis, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years in process automation.
• Experience with DeltaV DCS and GMP biopharma facilities.
• Strong technical writing and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DeltaV-based process control systems.
• Collaborate with capital project teams to deliver automation for the new plant.
• Document delivered solutions and support QA validation and FAT.
• Drive change controls, CAPAs, and deviations.
• Support commissioning, IV/ACO and day-to-day operations.
