Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Mississippi to support automation for the new drug substance manufacturing plant. You will work with a team of automation engineers to build and maintain control systems that meet GMP requirements and support capital projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with DeltaV, process control, and documentation in a regulated environment, plus collaboration across functional groups to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience as a baseline requirement.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles and growth potential.
• Experience with GMP biopharmaceutical production facilities is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process control systems on Emerson DeltaV DCS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and implement solutions.
• Document delivered solutions and maintain SOPs and validation artifacts.
• Support QA in computerized systems validation in a GxP environment.
• Perform data integrity assessments per Amgen and industry standards.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and IV/ACO activities.
• Drive site change controls, CAPAs, and deviations; troubleshoot effectively.
