Job summary
Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Automation Specialist I to assist with system integration projects.
You will identify components for PLC, network, computer, and software components; program PLCs and HMIs; test and troubleshoot software and systems during start-up; and develop required documentation and user manuals. Join a team of engineers, project staff, and vendors to resolve technical issues at customer sites, contribute to project documentation, and provide customer training on
Qualifications
- Must read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
- Willingness to travel to customer and project sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, control diagrams, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Assist with developing BOMs, I/O lists, and control panel requirements.
- Develop and modify PLC programs using ladder logic and related languages.
- Develop and configure HMI applications.
- Assist with configuring industrial networks, computers, controllers, and instrumentation.
- Develop and execute hardware and software test plans; support startup and field testing.
