Job summary

Röchling Automotive in Duncan, SC is seeking a Specialist Automation - 2nd Shift to troubleshoot and optimize PLC-based systems. You will read schematics, program and modify automation, and perform repairs to maintain production.

Collaboration with maintenance leadership and project teams is expected to drive improvements. The role requires a strong background in industrial automation, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a solid knowledge of major PLC platforms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 RSLogix 500 FactoryTalk View Studio Siemens TIA Portal.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic and automation systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Support machine optimization initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Lead and support machine build projects and automation upgrades.
• Coordinate with purchasing for maintenance and automation-related materials.
• Implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance programs.
