Job summary

Röchling Automotive in Duncan, SC, seeks a Specialist Automation (2nd Shift) to troubleshoot and program PLCs, read schematics, and lead automation upgrades. You will support maintenance initiatives, optimize productivity, and coordinate with purchasing for automation-related materials.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial automation, strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems, and an associate degree in mechatronics or equivalent; a high school diploma with experience is also

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in industrial automation, controls, or maintenance.
• Strong ability to read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Read and interpret schematics.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic and automation systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Support machine optimization initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Lead and support machine build projects and automation upgrades.
• Coordinate with purchasing for maintenance and automation-related materials.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Maintain equipment per preventive maintenance programs.
• Support special projects and assist Maintenance Leadership as needed.

Specialist Automation - 2nd Shift

Where we need you

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic and automation systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Support machine optimization initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Lead and support machine build projects and automation upgrades.
• Coordinate with purchasing for maintenance and automation-related materials.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance programs.
• Support special projects and assist Maintenance Leadership as needed.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Mechatronics or equivalent technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of: Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 RSLogix 500 FactoryTalk View Studio Siemens TIA Portal
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in manufacturing environments.

Preferred

• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and automated production equipment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Continuous improvement and project management experience
