Job summary

DMG MORI USA is seeking an Automation Products Sales Manager to drive the North American automation business. You will identify customer automation needs, develop conceptual solutions, and coordinate with pre-sales engineers to deliver quotations and proposals.

Based in the DMG MORI Systems group, the role requires strong technical sales skills, experience with CNC tools, robots, and 3D layouts, and the ability to travel up to 50% across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in technical sales for manufacturing automation solutions.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling software for automation cell concept and layout design.
• Familiarity with CNC machines, industrial robots, vision systems and other automation components.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including customer presentations and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer automation needs and sales opportunities through various sales channels.
• Develop understanding of DMG MORI automation products and create conceptual solutions.
• Gather customer requirements and prepare automation concepts, layouts, and recommended solutions.
• Work with Automation Pre-Sales Engineers to prepare quotations, project schedules, and proposals.
• Partner with Area Sales Managers to present automation solutions to customers.
• Work with Project Engineers to ensure smooth handoff after order receipt.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to promote DMG MORI automation capabilities.
• Manage and grow automation business within the assigned territory and existing customer base.
