Job summary

DMG MORI USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Mechanical Engineer to design and manage automation cells for the North American market.

You will perform concept/layout design, robot reachability studies, simulations, and cycle time analyses while coordinating with DMG MORI centers and suppliers to deliver complete automation solutions. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, strong mechanical design skills, and hands-on prototyping abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Strong mechanical design capabilities with hands-on prototyping.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple automation projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Work with automation sales manager to prepare automation cell proposals and quotations.
• Conduct automation concept/layout design, robot reachability, cell simulation, and cycle time studies.
• Manage project execution and schedule with customers and DMG MORI centers.
• Prepare design specs and coordinate with suppliers to build automation components.
• Coordinate with commissioning team for FAT/SAT signoff and handover.
