Job summary

Applied Industrial Controls (AIC) seeks a driven Sales Engineer to promote and sell automation and control systems in the Buford, GA region. You will engage with maintenance, engineering, and leadership to deliver tailored solutions and grow a defined territory.

You will collaborate with engineering and production to design and deliver the right automation solution for each application, building lasting customer relationships and driving revenue in Southeast markets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of results-oriented industrial sales experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to relate across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Grow Your Territory by promoting and selling automation products and services.
• Develop regional and core accounts; nurture relationships and expand revenue.
• Research local markets to identify opportunities and competitive activity.
• Build rapport with customers and understand their operations and drivers.
• Develop and deliver automation solutions in partnership with engineering and production.
• Identify and define the best technical solution for each customer application.
• Ensure opportunities are profitable before quoting; manage project costs with ECOs.
• Prepare quotes and negotiate terms to close profitable transactions.
• Create operating agreements for key accounts and maintain long-term relationships.
• Record all activities in CRM daily.
