Job summary

TMEIC Corporation seeks a seasoned Proposal Engineer to prepare commercial proposals and technical specs for RFQs in metals and material handling. You will define hardware/software solutions with clients and OEMs, craft detailed costings, and shape pricing to maximise margins.

You will lead technical and commercial proposal development for small projects, evaluate supplier bids, and provide guidance across teams. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent education/work experience.
• 2 years' systems or application engineering experience in metals/material handling.
• Demonstrated success as contributing member in project team.
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other contacts.
• Travel availability to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial proposals and technical specifications for RFQ requirements.
• Define hardware and software solutions with clients and OEMs.
• Prepare detailed cost elements for the technical specification.
• Develop pricing strategies to maximize project margins.
• Evaluate supplier proposals for best technical and economical solution.
• Lead technical and commercial proposal development for small projects.
• Provide technical guidance in proposal preparation and reviews.
• Present at technical conferences and client meetings.
• Monitor industry trends to suggest new features.
• Identify new products and applications to drive growth.
