Summary
The Industrial Automation Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the APR Industrial Automation technical offer including Rockwell and other technical suppliers’ relationships. Works closely with Sales and Services teams to provide resources to support technical offer and customer engagements. The Industrial Automation Solutions Manager will also lead the APR efforts and technical team towards ensuring technical competency, sales enablement and key initiative focus supporting the sales teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the APR Industrial Automation technical offer including Rockwell and other technical suppliers’ relationships.
- Work closely with Sales and Services teams to provide resources to support technical offer and customer engagements.
- Lead the APR efforts and technical team towards ensuring technical competency, sales enablement and key initiative focus supporting the sales teams.
- Hire, train, and develop technical specialists and domain experts to achieve the highest level of sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Work with Industrial Sales Managers to ensure Outside Sales personnel have the base level of product or technical expertise to successfully execute the sales strategy.
- Meet with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Deliver sales presentations with sales representatives and help coordinate customer training.
- Liaison between sales department and other departments to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Take thoughtful and documented corrective action with direct reports when necessary to maximize effectiveness.
- Complete performance reviews at least annually and be committed to giving frequent feedback regarding performance.
- Track and measure the success of promotional programs and product launches against sales objectives.
- Prepare sales reports regularly to show volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Analyze sales to formulate strategy with direct reports and vendors.
- Responsible for educating sales personnel and customers about new and existing product offerings.
- Create and use market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, discounts rates, recommend vendor partners, sales forecasting and evaluate competition to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Analyze and control T&E expenditures to meet budgeted expectations.
