Job summary

GE Vernova's Bangor site is seeking an experienced technician to support advanced automation, robotics, and controls across production lines. You will troubleshoot PLCs, robot programs, Servo and HMI systems, and participate in system upgrades and commissioning.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and operations to improve reliability and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Controls Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
4+ years in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or advanced maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting integrated industrial equipment beyond routine component replacement.
Familiarity with industrial robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo and motion systems, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems and automated equipment used in production.
Troubleshoot PLC logic, robot programs, CNC interfaces, servo systems, VFDs, and HMI-controlled processes.
Lead systematic fault isolation and root-cause investigations during downtime events.
Support system integration upgrades, commissioning, startup, and validation of automation assets.
