Job summary

GE Vernova's Gas Power division seeks an experienced automation specialist in Bangor, ME to install, diagnose, and optimize robotic systems and production cells. You will lead complex fault isolation, support control systems, and work with engineering on upgrades and validations.

You will analyze alarms, implement corrective actions, and mentor maintenance staff while ensuring safety and reliability across automation platforms in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years in manufacturing/automation/robotics/maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting integrated industrial equipment beyond routine component replacement.
• Strong knowledge of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo and motion systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems and automated cells.
• Troubleshoot PLC logic, robot programs, CNC interfaces, servo systems, and HMI-controlled processes.
• Lead fault investigations and root cause analysis during downtime events.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and integration of new automation technologies.
• Assist in commissioning, startup, and validation of new systems.
• Document troubleshooting findings and maintain updated schematics and procedures.
