Job summary

Top Dog Engineers LLC is seeking an Automation and Controls Technician with 4+ years of experience in automotive stamping and robotics. The role requires deep knowledge of robots, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems, and sophisticated inline stamping equipment.

Relocation assistance and temporary housing are available for qualified candidates. Sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

Qualifications

4+ years in process/manufacturing in automotive or high-volume consumer products with robotics and automation equipment
High School Diploma with relevant manufacturing experience
Strong communication, analysis and problem-solving skills
Robotics experience and ability to program robots
Strong PLC experience: Allen-Bradley, HMIs, Studio 5000, ControlLogix
Experience with vision systems

Responsibilities

Contribute to New Product / Project Programs for stamped metal parts.
Collaborate with Customers, Production and Engineering Teams.
Knowledge of robotics is a must-have.
Conduct root cause analysis and determine counter measures for PLC, automation and robotic concerns.
Support prototype builds and program launches.
Contribute to new equipment installations for technical assembly.
Knowledge of automation stamping lines is a must-have.
Contribute to new program launches.
Assign work to junior engineers and track progress as directed.
Manage overall project goals and KPIs.
Maintain machinery up-time and takt time.
Excellent reporting capability and methodology.
