Top Dog Engineers LLC in California is seeking an Automation and Controls Technician with 4+ years of experience in automotive stamping and inline automation. You will work with Fanuc robotics, Rockwell Automation systems, and complex assembly lines to drive improvements.

Eligible candidates receive relocation assistance and temporary housing, plus full benefits, 401k match and PTO. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Competitive hourly pay from $26 to $40 plus OT.

Qualifications

4+ years in automotive or high-volume manufacturing with robotics and automation equipment.
Strong PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, HMI, Studio 5000, ControlLogix).
Experience programming robots and vision systems.
Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of in-line stamping lines and automation processes.

Responsibilities

Contribute to new product/programs for stamped metal parts.
Collaborate with customers, production and engineering teams.
Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for PLCs.
Support prototype builds and program launches.
Maintain machinery uptime and takt time; report progress and KPI’s.

Automation Systems, and Sophisticated In-Line Stamping Equipment.

You could be a well-seasoned Process or Manufacturing Technician with Heavy Automation Controls and Robotics Experience.

Contribute to New Program Launches.
Assign work to Junior Engineers and Track Progress, as Directed.

Requirements:

Automation Experience with In-Line Process Machinery, Stamping and Process.
High School Graduate with 4+ years in Process / Manufacturing in an Automotive or High-Volume Consumer Products Environment with Robotics, PLC’s, Automation Equipment, Stamping Press Lines.
Strong Communication, Analysis, and Problem-Solving Skills.
Robotics Experience and Ability to Program Robots.
Strong PLC Experience, Allen-Bradley, HMI’s, Studio 5000, ControlLogix.
Experience and Good Understanding of Various Vision Systems.
