Job summary

Standard Forged is seeking an Automation/Robotics Engineer to design, test, and troubleshoot automated PLC and robotic processes. You will work with vendors and maintenance teams to support capital projects and modernization initiatives in the McKees Rocks and surrounding PA facilities.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI skills, experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms, and the ability to thrive in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. On-site work in McKees Rocks, PA is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance and/or robotics and automation in an industrial setting.
Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
Knowledge of control system design, testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Design, programming, implementation, and testing support for new control system/automation projects.
Participate in capital projects, new installations, testing, and modernization of PLC and robotic systems.
Provide front-line technical support for automated manufacturing systems.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of control issues.
Note: periodic on-call support for 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Update design documents, SOPs, and engineering drawings as needed.
