Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of laboratory automation, robotics, and data workflows in a regulated environment. You will work with scientists, IT, and QA to deliver scalable, compliant automation solutions.

The role focuses on system integration, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and lifecycle support, with opportunities to improve throughput, data integrity, and operational reliability at a West Point, PA area site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Automation, Robotics, CS)
• Experience with laboratory automation, robotics, or automated instrumentation
• Experience in regulated pharma/biotech environments
• Experience programming robotic and liquid handling systems
• Knowledge of laboratory systems integration and data management workflows
• Experience validating in regulated environments (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Responsibilities

• Assess existing automation environments and design automated workflows
• Develop, configure, and deploy robotic and liquid handling systems
• Integrate robotics with instruments, software, and LIMS
• Validate systems per IQ/OQ/PQ and maintain lifecycle docs
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement using Lean/RCA/CAPA
• Create SOPs and provide training to staff
