Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced Automation Reliability & Sustaining Operations Engineer to own the uptime and performance of advanced robotic and automation systems across Meta's warehouse network in the Kansas City area. You will lead root-cause analysis, manage preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement to reduce OPEX while expanding a scalable network.

You will sustain conveyors, AS/RS, AMRs, and WMS/WES/WCS integrations, building teams and maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of automation or controls engineering experience in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems with actuators and sensors.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Own sustaining operations of conveyors, sorters, merges, diverts, transfers, and accumulation zones to ensure uptime.
Sustain and optimize deployed automation systems (ASRS, AMRs, conveyance, etc.).
Lead root-cause analyses and document mitigations for critical issues.
Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
Maintain WMS/WES/WCS integration with automation systems; ensure data flow and PLC communication.
Build and lead an effective facility maintenance team with training.
Manage automation vendors for spares, warranties, and upgrades.
