SOFTSWISS is hiring a Senior Automation QA Engineer to design and improve automated testing frameworks for UI, API and distributed services, ensuring reliable coverage of complex product functionality.

You will help raise test quality, feedback time and maintainability while collaborating with engineers to enhance testability and delivery processes, including exploring AI-enabled testing approaches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of test automation experience with Java, UI and API testing.
• Experience designing, building and evolving test automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP and design patterns.
• Hands-on with GitLab CI, Docker and PostgreSQL.
• Experience testing distributed systems and investigating complex failures.
• Ability to assess automation architecture and trade-offs.
• Practical use of AI tools in testing or development workflows.
• English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher.
• Russian proficiency at Upper-intermediate level or higher.

SOFTSWISS is hiring a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our Team. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on professional to build and improve automated testing frameworks, ensure the quality of complex product functionality, and help deliver reliable features for our actively evolving online casino platform.

About Product:

Casino Platform:

The SOFTSWISS Casino Platform is the core infrastructure operators rely on to launch, manage and scale their online casino businesses. It supports mission-critical operations, including account management, game operations, responsible gaming and regulatory compliance.

You’ll contribute to mission-critical systems covering account management, game operations, responsible gaming, and regulatory compliance, in an environment where reliability, scalability, and business impact matter, working with people who build solutions operators depend on.

Purpose of the role:

You will be responsible for designing and improving automated testing frameworks that ensure reliable coverage of complex product functionality across UI, APIs and distributed services, while helping the team improve test quality, feedback time and maintainability.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and continuously improve automated testing approaches and frameworks.

• Write and review automated tests for complex product functionality.

• Improve test reliability, feedback time, reporting and CI execution.

• Identify practical opportunities to use AI in testing workflows, validate the results and share effective practices.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of test automation experience, including substantial hands-on work with Java, UI and API testing.

• Experience designing, building and evolving test automation frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, design principles and programming patterns.

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI, Docker and PostgreSQL.

• Experience testing distributed systems and investigating complex failures across services.

• Ability to assess automation architecture and make sound trade-offs around test coverage, reliability and maintenance.

• Practical experience using AI tools in testing or development workflows and evaluating their output.

• English proficiency is at Intermediate level or higher.

• Russian proficiency is at Upper-intermediate level or higher.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Selenide, REST Assured or similar Java testing tools.

• Experience with Allure or ReportPortal.

• Experience testing systems that use Kafka, Redis or WebSockets.

• Familiarity with AOP or the Java Reflection API.

• Experience with Kubernetes or improving CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience mentoring engineers or establishing automation practices across a team.
