Job summary

HP is seeking an SQA Automation Engineer in the United States to contribute to test plans and engineering solutions. The role involves building tooling, automation, and fixtures, and collaborating with engineers to validate test strategies and product designs.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of experience in debugging and validation, with a background in computer science or electrical engineering, and proficiency in Java, Python, Selenium, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically has 2–4 years of work experience, preferably in debug and validation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Participates in reviews of requirements, design data and test plan development.
• Designs portions of engineering solutions to test and evaluate systems, equipment and devices.
• Collaborates with team of other engineers to validate the engineering solutions, test strategy, product design and methodologies.
• Builds testing tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses based on provided specifications.
• Develops and implements test plans, schedules, and requirements for subsystems of new and existing designs.
• Monitors yield data for test and product issues while implementing continuous test enhancements to ensure quality of product.
• Applies professional expertise, exercises judgment, and resolves various issues by following company policies and procedures.
• Works with senior engineers on root cause remediation with regards to systemic hardware, equipment and devices found during the tests; develops and executes reliable, cost effective and high quality test solutions.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced testing and development partners.
• Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
