Job summary

Wipro Technologies in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Automation Python Engineer (regular and HIL) to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python. You will build and run test suites with pytest for integration and functional testing, and integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test generation and analysis.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional experience in Python development and test automation.
• Experience in Automotive infotainment, ADAS, telematics or EV/HEV systems, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/LLMs, AI-based test generation or log-analysis tools) to improve productivity, test coverage, or defect detection
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration)
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python
• Build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks for integration and functional testing
• Integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review
• Collaborate with automotive domain teams (ADAS, infotainment etc.) to understand test requirements
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering and lab teams to resolve defects
• Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices
