Wipro in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Automation Python Engineer (regular and HIL) to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, and to build test suites with pytest.

The role collaborates with automotive domain teams, analyzes results, and integrates AI/LLM tools to accelerate test generation and defect triage. On-site position with comprehensive medical benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development and test automation experience (5–8 years).
• Experience in Automotive infotainment, ADAS, telematics or EV/HEV systems, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Practical experience with AI tools to improve productivity, test coverage, or defect detection.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python.
• Build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks for integration and functional testing.
• Integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review.
• Collaborate with automotive domain teams to understand test requirements.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering and lab teams to resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices.
