Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Provisioning Engineer to drive high-volume server activation and support the rapid expansion of Vultr's global cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a Linux-focused automation enthusiast with strong scripting fundamentals and a desire to learn.

This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver at scale during peak onboarding periods.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Linux systems administration / deployment automation experience.
• Strong Bash scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible or Puppet).

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end server onboarding and initial imaging.
• Manage capacity provisioning for new servers.
• Perform post-onboard validation and handoff to Platform team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering.
• Build and improve automation pipelines.
• Track onboarding metrics and drive improvements.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Coordinate with Hardware team during onboarding.
• Support server repurposing and migrations.
