Job summary

Signode Industrial Group in Roselle, IL is seeking a seasoned engineer to manage Automatic Equipment and Automation projects from lead to installation. You will support sales, engineering, and production across multiple stages of manufacturing, focusing on PL2 level equipment projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 5 years in manufacturing engineering and automation, plus strong CAD and CRM experience.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in equipment manufacturing engineering and automation.
Proven experience with engineering proposals and project management.
Ability to develop integrated 2‑D layouts, 3‑D modeling, and simulations/animations.

Responsibilities

Provide proposals, pricing and equipment layouts with drawings, models, electrical schematics and manuals.
Conduct surveys detailing customer and production needs.
Coordinate with Engineering, Development, Product Management and Supply Chain for clarifications on non-standard items.
Offer automation expertise and coordinate with segment experts for optimal equipment solutions.
Coordinate across departments to overcome hurdles during Engineering and Manufacturing stages.
Provide customers with current information including but not limited to: offloading specs, IP addresses, OEM connectivity changes, drawings, etc.
Coordinate project kickoffs, customer meetings and pre-installation documents.
Document installation/performance issues to improve future projects.
Assist with project team responsibilities as needed.
